Eye-Catching Andalusian PRE Type Dun Gelding

Description

Currently training at advanced medium level dressage, he has a natural talent for canter and lateral work. He has established flying changes, half passes, shoulder in, renvers and travers and we are working towards canter zig zags and pirouettes. He is well balanced, easy to sit to with a soft submissive contact. He rides off the seat easily, responding confidently to aids.

He is a lovely characterful horse to be around, a happy athlete and fun to play with. He is good to hack alone or in company and loves the beach. He is good with the farrier, front shoes, barefoot behind, easy to clip and easy to load. He is well behaved when out. He lives out in the summer and in and out in the winter, either with one other or in small herds, and is good to catch. While it is manageable, he does have sweet itch.

Although not jumped often, he is brave and has done up to 90 cm with me. He is capable of doing good rounds, but as it is not my interest, we have not pursued the jumping. He has been brought on slowly as my focus has been on dressage training and not competing regularly due to my university and work commitments.

Owned for seven years from when I was a teenager, he has been a great teacher for me and has allowed me to progress through the dressage levels. We have regular professional training to ensure that he develops correctly. He has regular physiotherapy to maintain his natural flexibility. A CWD dressage saddle made for him is available by separate negotiation.

Sadly though, he and I have outgrown each other and he needs now to help his next rider learn the advanced movements whilst I focus on the higher levels. Like all Iberians, he is a sensitive horse and so he is not a novice ride. Serious enquiries only please for this sale of a well-loved horse.
